Start Spreading the News: BBIC Trip to New York is in Less Than Three Weeks

Blue Blazers Investment Committee (BBIC) members are counting down the days to their much-anticipated Feb. 19 trip to New York. Each week until the trip, Westminster Today will feature individuals who are involved with Blue Blazers in some capacity. This week, “Start Spreading the News: Countdown to New York” highlights Gera Stewart, ’06 ΚΑΘ, and Greg Richard, ’88 ΔΤΔ.

“The primary takeaway I had from being a member of BBIC was the incredible network that Westminster helps students build not only through small class sizes and devoted professors, but also through contact with alumni who are genuinely devoted to helping Westminster students succeed. Brock was (and continues to be) such a great influence on the students of WC, particularly through his involvement with the BBIC. In addition, we had contact with other alums during our trip to NYC, one of who welcomed us into his home for a delicious breakfast. BBIC helped give us a snapshot into the business world and opened our eyes to all of the opportunities available to us outside of our ‘Westminster bubble.’ Growing up in a small town just outside of Fulton, this experience really opened my eyes to all of the possibilities available out there.
