Sophomore Eryka Wanyonyi Featured Prominently in Sports Locker Magazine

Biology major and Blue Jays volleyball player Eryka Wanyonyi, ’23, recently caught the attention of Sports Locker magazine for her stellar performance both on and off the court.

Sports Locker highlighted the resident of Columbia, MO, in its July-August 2020 issue for a number of reasons. As a freshman, Wanyonyi won the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Newcomer of the Year award as well as All-Conference First Team and All-Tournament Team honors. She also aims high in her career aspirations and plans to attend medical school after graduation, with the goal of becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
