President Lamkin Generously Matches Campus Gifts from Giving Tuesday

Immediately following Thanksgiving break, Student Ambassadors from Westminster College busily collected donations from students, faculty and staff during a successful Giving Tuesday on Dec. 3.

A nationwide tradition for nonprofit organizations, Giving Tuesday at the College specifically benefits the Westminster Fund. Learn more about that fund here.

Student Ambassadors distributed Giving Tuesday t-shirts to everyone on campus who donated more than $5. The student group gathered a total of $1,385, which included $470 by Phi Delta Theta, which won the Greek student giving challenge. President Fletch Lamkin is generously matching on-campus donations.

Off campus, donations from alumni, parents and friends of the College this year totaled $11,960 ― an increase of more than $5,000 compared to last year.

“The Blue Jay Nation is consistently generous and supportive of this fantastic college,” Lamkin says. “I’m more than happy to match our hard-working students’ contributions.”
