A Second Celebration at The Columns
The Columns Ceremony, as the final ritual a Westminster senior class undergoes, is always a grand celebration.
On rare occasions, though, the Ceremony has been cause for another celebration and rite of passage.
This Saturday, when Kendall Johnson ’18 KKΓ from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed through the Columns, a surprise was waiting for her.
On the other side was her boyfriend, Hunter Gomez ’17 ΣΑΕ from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on bended knee, ready to propose marriage.
The good news is that Kendall accepted. Hunter stepped aside so that Kendall could complete her walkthrough with her Kappa sisters, then the two walked away from the Columns to start a new life together.
