2020 Hancock Symposium Committee Seeks Nominations

By the 2020 Hancock Symposium Committee

The 2020 Hancock Symposium committee invites nominations of dynamic speakers, innovative formats and engaging activities that explore the theme of the 15th Hancock Symposium: “Vision & Values: Charting Our Paths to the Future.” The alumni community is encouraged to make nominations and attend the two-day event.

Launched in 2006, the Hancock Symposium is Westminster College’s signature event, representing the finest aspects of a Westminster education. As a liberal arts college, Westminster teaches us to enjoy learning new concepts and to see how interconnected academic disciplines can be within a single topic.

Each September, the Hancock Symposium offers two engaging days of lectures, panel discussions and presentations by noted experts on one particular subject of global interest. The dynamic sessions challenge students with innovative ideas, and the entire campus community participates in the events and learns together.

The 15th Symposium will take place on Wednesday, September 16, and Thursday, September 17, 2020.

Nominations should be sent via email to Dr. Jeremy Straughn (jeremy.straughn@wcmo.edu) and Mr. Timothy Riley (tim.riley@churchillmemorial.org) and include a brief rationale connecting the proposed speaker or activity to the Symposium theme.
