Westminster Alum Releases New Book, New Movie
W. Bruce Cameron, NY Times and USA Today bestselling author, movie-maker, and Westminster alumnus, is at it again.
Not only has he released a new book, The Dogs of Christmas, which explores the relationship between man and dog–much like his previous novels, A Dog’s Purpose and A Dog’s Journey–but he’s also just completed making a movie with is wife, entitled Muffin Top: A Love Story.
His book has already been released, with rave reviews.
“Readers will devour this wonderful story and cry from beginning to end. Sweet and heartfelt, Cameron likely has another bestseller on his hands.” -Publishers Weekly
“An amazing book.” -Alice Walker, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Color Purple
His movie, which he co-wrote with his wife, Cathryn Michon, who is also the director, is launching a movement to not only increase the amount of women in movies (according to the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, only 6% of movies have a cast comprised of 50% females or more), but behind the scenes of movies as well.
Michon has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a “Movie-ment,” a nation-wide tour of cities that don’t traditionally host red carpet events, such as Kansas City, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, and more. These premiers will feature the movie’s cast at the red carpet event, giveaways, and more.
