Blue Jay Volleyball Picked 5th In SLIAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

Fulton, Mo.- Westminster College received 43 points in the SLIAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll, placing them fifth this year. The Blue Jays were 16-15 overall last season and 11-5 in the conference. With just four returning players, first year head coach Curtis Madson and the Blue Jays will be young this season as they seek a return trip to the SLIAC Tournament. The Blue Jays will turn to Lexi Collier and a pair of seniors in Andrea Kiser and Caroline Abraham to lead the team and replace four team All-Conference performer Alex Berry and 2012 Defensive Player of the Year Jordan Berry. Collier, a sophomore middle hitter, was named to the Second Team All-Conference last year after recording team highs in kills (300) and total blocks (103).
