Women’s Cross Country Place 3rd At SLIAC Championship, Gibby Earns First Team All-SLIAC Honors

The Westminster women’s cross country team placed third in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Championship.

Junior Claire Gibby was named to the First Team All-SLIAC after her fifth place finish at the Championship. She led the way for the Westminster Blue Jays with a 24:14.29 6K time.

Junior Brier Skogsberg earned Second Team All-SLIAC honors with her 13th place finish and a time of 25:50.94.

Freshmen Taylor Howard, Madison Zack and Shannon McCaul finished in 17th-19th place, respectively. Howard finished in 25:50.84, and Zack finished with a time of 25:57.39. McCaul finished two seconds later with a time of 25:59.16.

Freshman Alex Rauscher placed 34th, earning the Blue Jays 29 points with her 27:35.35 time. Senior Tiara Pettijohn earned 34 points in her 28:07.54 finish. She was also named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

The Blue Jays will head to the NCAA Regional in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on November 15.
