Women’s Tennis Grabs 5-4 Win Over Webster

The Westminster women’s tennis team grabbed a 5-4 win over Webster University in their final conference matchup of the season. The Westminster Blue Jays conclude their conference season with a 3-2 record heading into the conference tournament.

The Blue Jays won in the two and three doubles spots, giving them a 2-1 advantage heading into singles play.

Senior Kristen Fisher won in the four spot with a 7-6 win with a 8-6 tie breaker and a 6-1 win. Freshman Ellen Woolsey defeated Webster in the five spot, 6-3 and 6-0. Senior Mary Nestor won the final point for the Blue Jays with a 6-0 and 6-1 sweep in the number six spot.
