Women’s Tennis Falls To Greenville, 5-4

The Westminster women’s tennis team fell to Greenville College 5-4 on Friday afternoon. The Westminster Blue Jays are now 3-6 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

Senior Sarah Heeter and freshman Mariah Hernandez took the number one doubles triumphantly, 8-2. Senior Kristen Fisher and freshman Ellen Woolsey grabbed the number three doubles win with a score of 8-4.

Fisher and Woolsey won the two singles sets in the number three and number five spot, respectively.

The Blue Jays travel to St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday to play two conference matches. The Blue Jays will face Fontbonne University in match one at 9:00 a.m., followed by a match with Eureka College at 12:00 p.m.
