Blue Jays Announce Spring Schedules

Westminster’s spring schedules have been released for the 2013-14 school year. The Westminster Blue Jays have five sports competing: baseball, softball, track and field, men’s tennis and women’s tennis.

*The baseball team will host the University of Dubuque for their season opener on Friday, March 7, at 12:00 p.m. They will begin conference play with a home doubleheader versus Blackburn College on Saturday, March 22 at 1:00 p.m.

The Blue Jays will play 35 games and 27 conference games, ending on May 3rd.

 

*The softball team begins the 2014 season with a doubleheader versus the University of Wisconsin-Platteville on Monday, March 10. They will begin conference play with a home doubleheader versus Iowa Wesleyan on March 20 at 3:00 p.m.

The Blue Jays will play 40 games and 18 conference games, ending on April 24th.

 

*The track and field team opened up their indoor season last Friday, February 7, at the Missouri Invitational. They will close out their indoor season at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge on Friday, February 21.The outdoor season will begin at the Culver-Stockton Open on Saturday, March 22. The outdoor season will come to a close at the SLIAC Invitational on April 26th.

 

*The men’s tennis team starts on Saturday, March 1 at Grinnell College. They will face Grinnell and Grand View at 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., respectively.

The Blue Jays will play 12 matches, ending on April 15th.

 

*Women’s tennis opens their season on March 15 against Nebraska Wesleyan.

The Blue Jays will play 10 matches, ending on April 22nd.

 

*Men’s golf opens their season on with the two day William Woods Spring Invitational on March 31-April 1.
