Riley Driscoll Named New Sports Information Graduate Intern

By Kirsten Carney, Sports Information Director

Riley Driscoll recently was added as the graduate intern in the Westminster Sports Information office. Driscoll begins work with Westminster Athletics August 12.

Driscoll was hired after Westminster was awarded the Phil Langan Graduate Internship grant from the College Sports Information Directors of America.

“Riley is a perfect fit for Westminster, as he’s had the same small-school, Division III experience that we offer here,” said Carney. “He’s passionate about a career in sports and brings on some great experience,”

Driscoll is a 2019 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire, completing his degree in sports management with a concentration in sport business.

A Peabody, MA, native, Driscoll brings to Westminster a strong mix of athletics experience, including serving as a stadium operations intern for the Badlands Big Sticks Baseball Club in Dickinson, ND, during the summer of 2018.  While with the Big Sticks, Driscoll oversaw the merchandise stand, supervised concessions, tracked inventory and sales, and assisted in planning and organizing on-field promotions.

In the summer of 2017, Driscoll served as an event staff intern for the North Shore Navigators where he organized promotions, provided a positive customer experience to fans, and assisted in stadium upkeep and maintenance.

During his time at Colby-Sawyer, Driscoll was engaged in the Intramurals program as a referee, scoreboard operator, social media manager, and statistics manager.
