Men’s Soccer Shutout By Washington University-St. Louis

The Westminster men’s soccer team dropped the match to Washington University-St. Louis Monday evening, 1-0. The Westminster Blue Jays are now 2-4 for the season.

The Blue Jays took six shots with one shot on goal, but were unable to find the back of the net. The Blue Jay defense held Washington (Mo.) from scoring, but in the 80th minute, the Bears were able to find the goal and take a 1-0 lead. The Blue Jays were unable to tie the game in the final 10 minutes, ending with a 1-0 shutout.

The Blue Jays took six shots throughout the game, with a shot on goal coming from sophomore forward Josh Jaycox.

Sophomore goalkeeper Raul Belman Romero (2-4) completed the game with three saves.
