Men’s Soccer Falls To Undefeated Simpson

The men’s team faced undefeated Simpson College following the women’s game Monday evening. The Blue Jays were unable to score on the Storm of Simpson College and was shutout 0-4.

The Simpson men’s team scored a goal just 30 seconds into the game. The Blue Jays were unable to connect with the goal with their three shots on goal in the first half. They scored again in the 38th minute, and the Blue Jays headed into halftime down 0-2. Simpson was able to score two more goals in the second half, defeating the Blue Jays 4-0.

Junior Caleb Marquis faced five shots on goal and allowed two goals before freshman Raul Romero took over. Romero faced four shots on goal and allowed two goals. Senior Ty Cook led the Blue Jays with two shots on goal.

The Blue Jays are now 0-5-1 for the 2013 season and will head to Schaumburg, Illinois to play Earlham this Saturday afternoon at 11:00 a.m.
