Men’s Golf Places 9th At The WWU Fall Invitational

The Westminster men’s golf team kicked off the 2013-14 season in the William Woods University Fall Invitational at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Mo. on Monday and Tuesday. They finished 9th out of 9 NAIA and Junior College teams with a total of 704 points at the two-day tournament.

Sophomore Brandon Hammerstone and senior Hogan Davis tied for 42 place, finishing first for the Blue Jays. Hammerstone shot an 89 on day one and an 87 on day two to finish with a score of 176. Davis shot a 92 on day one and an 84 on day two.

Sophomore Blake Stonecipher finished 44th for the Blue Jays with a score of 177 (91, 86). Seniors Eric Strange and Jake Yarnell wrapped up for the Blue Jays with a score of 181 (83, 98) and 185 (93, 92), respectively.
