Award-Winning Sports Journalist Michael Kim, ’87 IND, to Speak at 2022 Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony

WHO: Westminster alumnus and award-winning sports journalist Michael Kim, ’87 IND, will return to his hometown of Fulton, MO, and college alma mater to speak at Westminster College’s 2022 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Kim will discuss his journalism career that included 17 years at ESPN and his current responsibilities as lead anchor for Inside the League and Campus Insiders on the Stadium network and Live on the Line, powered by BetMGM, on the Bally Sports network.

WHAT: The 2022 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will celebrate the athletic accomplishments of seven alumni from various classes and three Blue Jays teams from the Classes of 1978, 1979, and 2013. The evening will include a cocktail hour, a dinner, a presentation by Kim, an awards ceremony, and an ongoing online auction via OneCause to benefit the Blue Jay Spirit Club.

The event is by-invitation only, focusing primarily on Hall of Fame honorees.

WHEN: 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2022.

WHERE: Mueller Student Center on the Westminster College campus, 501 Westminster Ave.

WHY: The 2022 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is the first comprehensive ceremony of the event’s nearly 25-year history. Established in 1998, the Westminster College Athletics Hall of Fame recognizes those individuals and teams who have excelled in Blue Jays athletics and/or made significant contributions to their sports.

HOW: Members of the media will have the opportunity to interview Kim from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Journalists are asked to sign in at the door, and reserved seating will be available.
