Andre Williams Named Westminster’s Asst. Men’s Basketball Coach, Men’s Golf Coach

Westminster College named Andre Williams the new assistant men’s basketball coach, as well as the men’s golf coach. He will also be helping out with the women’s volleyball team.

Williams comes to Westminster with a premier basketball background. He was the assistant coach at Summit Christian Academy for two years, finishing with a 40-12 record. Prior to taking the assist coaching job, he played professional basketball overseas. He played in Austria, France, Sweden, along with other places throughout a six year span. On top of playing overseas, he continued to help run the Oklahoma State Basketball Camps until 2009.

Williams began his collegiate basketball career at Oklahoma State University in 1999. His first year at OSU, he helped lead the Cowboys to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament. His team made it to the first round of the Tournament the next two years, and the second round his senior year.
Williams received his Bachelor’s degree in University Students in Family Relations and Child Development in 2003.
