Alumnus Named COO of Leggett & Platt
Mitch Dolloff ’88 was named Chief Operating Officer of diversified manufacturer Leggett & Platt in Carthage, MO, on Nov. 7. Dolloff served as Executive Vice President and President of the Specialized Products and Furniture Products Segments of the company since 2017.
Dolloff previously worked in a variety of roles with the company, including Senior Vice President and President of the Specialized Products Segment, President of the Automotive Group, and President of the Asian Automotive Group. He joined Leggett & Platt in 2000.
“I’m very excited about the COO position,” says Dolloff, who majored in Economics at Westminster College before earning an MBA in 2004 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and a juris doctorate from Vanderbilt Law School in 1991. “I’ve had the good fortune to work closely with the businesses in our Specialized and Furniture Products Segments for the last few years and look forward to learning more about the teams and businesses in the other half of L & P,” he says.
Dolloff lives in Joplin, MO, with his wife, Melanie. They own a small farm in nearby Nevada, MO, where they enjoy spending their free time. Dolloff assumes the role of COO on Jan. 1.
