Alumnus David McCreery Gives With a Purpose

Westminster College benefits in countless ways from its selfless alumni who consistently provide the institution with support. Our alumni network watches out for one another and current students, providing internships, job opportunities, support with various programs on campus and financial contributions.

To highlight those who give back to the College financially, Westminster Today periodically runs a “Giving With a Purpose” feature that highlights the many reasons our generous alumni choose to give back to the College that gave to them first.

This month, we feature David McCreery, ’72 ΣΧ, who majored in English at Westminster.

David McCreery, ’72 ΣΧ , Little Rock, AR
Business Owner and Writer — Author of No Soft Landings and Unstuck and Over It

“I came to Westminster in 1968 after Jack Swan, who was a Westminster representative on the East Coast, came to my private boys’ school in Pittsburgh and told me I would be a good fit at Westminster College in Fulton, MO. I had never heard of the place. My classmates were going to places like Dartmouth. But I went to Westminster, and it changed my life. I think of the College as a parent and feel I owe it big time. I can never repay what it’s done for me.”

Thank you, David, for your ongoing support!
