The Alumni Council serves as the executive committee for the Westminster College Alumni Association and is charged with assisting the College in engaging its alumni.  Its responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with alumni;
  • Encouraging class reunions and attendance at alumni events;
  • Planning and assisting with Alumni Weekend;
  • Developing and increasing alumni giving;
  • Assisting graduating seniors and alumni in seeking employment;
  • Recognizing the achievements of alumni in their chosen field and service to the College;
  • Working with the College to improve the quality of the college life for its students;
  • Welcoming graduating seniors into the Association; and
  • Assisting the College in recruiting new students.

 President Jackson says, ” One of the first things that we are doing for the school year is making goodie bags to welcome all of the new students. This could not happen without the generosity of the Alumni Council members.”

Appointments to the Alumni Council are for one to two-year terms, and members are expected to attend fall and spring meetings on campus and participate in regional engagement activities.
