Watch the above video for a look at the Show Me Innovation Center’s open house, held on Sept. 9. Celebrating building renovations for the center at 510 Market Street (formerly the Fulton police station), the opening party allowed many business community members from Fulton and nearby communities to network and show their support for the organization’s initiatives.

The Show Me Innovation Center offers unique opportunities to Westminster College students in the form of micro-loans and networking for business proposals students might have.

Angelique Williams ’15 is one of two Westminster students who have started internships at the center. She says so far she has gained experience in her major, International Business, by helping the SMIC gain funding and equipment and offering her assistance organizing the business.  Angelique is excited to use the innovation center for her own business endeavors in the future.

“I feel like I can use my experiences at the SMIC to gain a competitive edge in business,” says Williams, who plans to pursue a career in the food distribution industry.

The Show Me Innovation Center will be open to the public in December.
