Hands-On Learning and Cutting-Edge Facilities for Westminster Biology Majors

For Westminster College biology majors, the classroom is much more than a place to study concepts and memorize terms. Students benefit from hands-on learning opportunities that merge theory and practice, both in state-of-the-art facilities on campus and through research in the field. Working together, these experiences provide a solid foundation for future careers in life sciences, health professions or allied health arenas.

Home to the state-of-the-art Coulter Science Center, Westminster offers biology majors the chance to:

• Learn in the College’s on-campus anatomy lab
• Use innovative ideas, existing and coordinated research to improve human health, food supply and the environment
• Grow in their experience and diversity through lab and fieldwork, group and independent projects and exciting off-campus activities (such as summer research trips to Belize, Kenya, Peru and Ecuador)
