A Variety of Events Pack the Homecoming Weekend 2019 Schedule
Westminster College is excited to offer a wide variety of activities during Homecoming Weekend 2019 on Thursday, Oct. 17, to Saturday, Oct. 19. Check out the schedule below, and make plans to join us on our beautiful campus next weekend!
THURSDAY, OCT. 17
11 a.m. Presentation at Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury: The Hon. James E. Baker, Director of the Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism at Syracuse University will speak. A special question-and-answer session on national security will take place at 1 p.m. in Room 126 in Coulter Science Center.
7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Homecoming Bonfire: Wetterau Gym Parking Lot
FRIDAY, OCT. 18
12 p.m. Coulter Science Center: World record breaker, Olympic swimmer and TED Talk speaker Katie Hoff will give a presentation on “Relentless Leadership.”
4 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Homecoming Parade: Begins on Lamkin Drive and ends on Court Street
4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. Pep Rally with Music and Refreshments: On Court Street
SATURDAY, OCT. 19
11 a.m – 1 p.m. Alumni, Student & Family Tailgate: Parking lot on 7th Street across from The Grove; $10.00 charge and cash bar available
11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Band: Remastered Disaster featuring alumnus Eric Woytus, ’19 ΦΔΘ
12 p.m. Blue Jays Football Game: Westminster vs. Martin Luther
Halftime: Honoring 2019 Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees; Homecoming king and queen announced
1 p.m.: Westminster Volleyball vs. Blackburn
3 p.m. Football Alumni Event: All football alumni are invited to meet Westminster’s Coaching Staff at 1851 Underground Tap & Grill. Staff will arrive one hour after game ends.
5 p.m.: Westminster Women’s Soccer vs. Blackburn
7 p.m.: Westminster Men’s Soccer vs. Blackburn
