2014-2015 Diversity Challenge is Here!
The Intercultural Engagement Office is now accepting applications for the 2014-2015 Diversity Challenge.
What is the Diversity Challenge?
The Diversity Challenge allows students to submit their own ideas to create a program that will both improve the community and increase diversity awareness. Two programs will be picked to be both funded and implemented. Students selected to create their program will have the opportunity to choose a team of students as well as have a direct role in the planning of their program.
Why was the Diversity Challenge created?
Many students at Westminster have great ideas for programs that will foster higher interactions among diverse groups and instill a positive change in our community. The Intercultural Engagement Office recognizes that the students know exactly what is needed to achieve a more diverse and culturally aware campus.
“The Diversity Challenge is for anyone who has an idea that will positively impact Westminster and the community,” says Abdullah Al-Hadeethi, Westminster Fellow for the Intercultural Engagement Office. “We will help you implement the idea into a program and offer guidance along the way.”
To apply, please email [email protected] or bring a hard copy to the Diversity Center. Application should include a brief description of your program idea(s), how your program will help improve our community, and an estimate of needed funds. Deadline is Nov. 3 at 5 p.m.
