What made you choose Westminster College? Primarily two reasons: When I visited campus, I was made to feel at home by the faculty, staff, and students; and I was looking for a rigorous academic program that would provide opportunities for my personal growth and found it at Westminster.
What was your major? Political Science and International Studies.
Can you please describe your current work? An association, not-for-profit professional, I help my organization serve our membership and strengthen its industry for our members’ collective benefit. Some days this means working directly with volunteers, others it is designing and writing marketing campaigns, or it can even be speaking to our members or at industry events. It varies widely based on our strategy.
How did Westminster help you find your purpose? Nearly every step of my career path has been influenced by Westminster. I directly benefited from professors who challenged me to try new things, the internships I took part in, and alumni who recommended me for specific positions. It was a Westminster connection that led me to working in the association world. Our alumni network is strong and always willing to help out fellow alumni. In a competitive job market, nothing could be more beneficial!
What is your favorite Westminster memory? Both Columns Ceremonies, walking in and walking back out into the world.
Favorite Westminster faculty member? It’s a four-way tie! Dr. Judith (Judy) Schanneman, Dr. Bill Young, Dr. John Langton, and Dr. Kurt Jefferson.
Sorority? Kappa Kappa Gamma.
Favorite spot on campus? The center of the Westminster Hill, at the fountain.
Spouse? Mark Joseph, Auditor at Employee Benefits Security Administration, Department of Labor.
Children? Isabel, 2, and a new brother William Charles Joseph, born March 7, 2019.

Do you have a favorite quote? “We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak.”
What do you do in your free time? Run, travel, and eat as much as I can all alongside my posse of husband, daughter, son, and Great Dane.
